Many pregnant women benefit from the relief that massage can bring. Back pain, particularly in the lower region, is common and a special chair can be used for your back massage, enabling you to sit comfortably and totally supported. Or a couch can be used for the entire massage and adjusted to relieve any pressure on your lungs or swollen legs. Abdominal massage is a choice, as are oils to lessen stretch marks.

Many mothers find new aches and pains from lifting, carrying and feeding the baby, especially across the upper back. On top of that, there’s disruption to sleep and anxiety about caring for a new born. Replenishing the fatigue that inevitably sets in from time to time is all part of a good massage.
